Irish bog oak mechanical pencil, Personalized pencil and great wooden gift.
Beautiful Irish bog oak wood mechanical pencil, hand turned with twist mechanism. This pencil can be engraved with your name or something else. Premium chrome fittings have been used to show off the stunning grain of this wood.
The lead is expelled by turning the top of the pen clockwise and locked in place by turning anti-clockwise. To return the lead after using turn clockwise and push it inside again, before locking anti-clockwise.
The pencil is a very comfortable width for writing and takes a Parker-style refill which uses 0.5mm or 0.7mm leads. This also means a Parker pen refill can be inserted to convert this to a pen if wanted.
This Irish bog oak pencil makes a statement by using a piece of beautiful Irish Bog Oak 5000-6000 years old.
The pictures don't show the details of the wood justice. Your pencil has beautiful Celtic designs on the finial and on the top of the barrel to complete the Irish design. The pencil is presented in its own box to finish the excellent presentation.
The pencil is a very comfortable width for writing and takes a Parker-style refill, which is easily obtainable when necessary.

About the process
Blanks are selected from seasoned wood for their grain and colour. They are careful cut so that when the pen is complete the grain appears as continuous as possible. The wood is then turned to size, sanded through 5 different grits of sandpaper and then rubbed with Danish oil. I then friction polish the pen before completing with the premium fittings
